A Licensed Clinical Psychologist and board-certified expert in traumatic stress, Robert de la Torre has been in private practice for sixteen years. At the Evelyn Frye Center, he is Director of Evaluation Services and conducts a wide array of assessments, including diagnostic, pre-surgery, risk for violence, pre-employment, and vocational disability evaluations. In addition, he provides psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and children and performs critical incident debriefings. He is trained at Level Two of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an effective form of trauma treatment. He is a frequent presenter to corporate groups on various mental health topics and issues. Areas of particular interest include depression, anxiety, ADHD, phobias, trauma, and personality adaptations.
Dr. de la Torre holds a Psy.D. from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a B.S. from Northwestern University.
